May Day Celebrations!

Over the May day weekend the two morris sides, the Raggie Morrisons of Aberdeen and the Banchory Morris Men got together to celebrate the arrival of summer, including a traditional Maypole dance and even a hobby horse!  The Saturday event was spent travelling and dancing in the various beautiful villages around the Aberdeenshire area, and the Sunday was spent entertaining at Drum Castle.  The weather remained perfect for dancing - though the hot sun made the dancing much harder work, I can tell you!
We are now into the summer season, and the summer season is dancing season - so I will be posting up more updates from our travels in the following weeks, hopefully with lots more photos and videos.

But for now here are a few videos and pictures I'd like to share.  For more videos, check out my Youtube channel here, and the photo set here.
(Incidentally, most of the images/videos up so far feature the Morris Men, as I could only film when I wasn't dancing - but we'll get some more of the Raggies up as soon as possible!)
